the tremolo arm is rocked back vigorously to achieve the correct sound, if you don't have
tremolo system on your guitar then tremolo picking is a good substitute.

| Knights of Cydonia represent the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (pictured on the cover of Black Holes and Revelations), from the Book of Revelation in the New Testament of the Bible, with their horses of four different colors. The bible predicts that they will ride during the Apocalypse with sounds of trumpets, and their names are War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. The first Stanza to me is that the band is singing it sarcasticly saying that the horsemen will reveal a lazy God, and we should, perhaps, fight agasint him. hmmmmmmm? | |

| Sunburn yes the four horses are quite a nice find but... this makes this tune so much more intresting, In summary, the horses and their riders as described in the Bible are as follows: Horse Horse Represents Rider Power Rider Represents White False peace/God's war Carries bow; wears crown Conquers Antichrist, The False Christ, False Religion/Christ Red Blood spilt on the battlefield Carries sword Brings war War, Destruction Black Black, barren fields Carries scales Scarcity of food Famine, Unfair Trade Pale Paleness of skin in death, decay Death Kills by war, hunger, plagues, etc. Death It should be noted that while the rider of the white horse is often interpreted as Antichrist, he is not named such in Revelation and the Antichrist is separately identified in Revelation 13. The word used to describe the color of the 'pale' horse is the Greek word chloros or green. It is meant to convey the sickly green tinge of the deathly ill or recently dead. Since the literal translation 'green' does not carry these connotations in English the word is rendered 'pale' in most English translations. I would not think of matty b to be taking the side of the anti-christ. I think the first lines are sarcasm. Like from the view of the horsemen perhaps. "come ride with me" - bellamy is obviously not a horseman. "i'll show you a God who falls asleep on the job." - the horsemen asking humanity to blame God for their peril. The following is from the book "The City of God" by St. Augustine. I highly, recomend... [ The most important question is this: What use is made of things thought to be blessings and of things reputed evil? The good man is not exalted by this worlds goods; nor is he overwhelmed by this worlds ills, The bad man is punished by misfortune of this kind just because he is corrupted by good fortune....This being so, when the good and wicked suffer alike the identity of their sufferings does not mean that there is no differnce between them. Though their sufferings are the same the sufferers remain different. Virtue and vice are not the same, even if they undergo the same torment, The fire which makes gold shine makes chaff smoke, the same flail breaks up the straw and clears the grain; and oil is not mistaken for lees because both are forced out by the same press. In the same way, the violence which assails good man to test them, to cleanse them and purify them, effects in the wicked their condemnation, ruin, and annihilation. Thus the wicked, under pressureof affliction, execrate God and blaspheme; the good under the same affliction offer up prayers and praises. This shows that what matters is the nature of the sufferers, not the nature of the sufferings. Stir a cesspit and a foul stench arises, stir purfume and a delightful fragrance ascends. But the movement is identical ] City of God pg 13-14. "How can we win when fools can be kings?" - i feel this would be where bellamy is talking direct and not from another perspective, and the next line is what gets me... "dont waste your time or time will waste you." .... wow. i been using that with everyone i know... but at the same time he could be talking the whole first 4 lines from the persepective of the horsemen but i think he switches, for in the end times there is supposed to be 4 kingdoms who arise before the end of the world, "fools as kings" Politics is a big runaround, nothing ever gets solved cuz everyone is imperfect, and naturally selfish, "there's no justice in the world and there never was." Body v Soul Death v Life Impatient v Patient Selfish v Self Denying With Many v Alone but not alone Greedy v Charity Sex Crazed v Chastity Flesh v Spirit Death v Life Live Forever ams7271@sru.edu | |
