| Take a bow is a great song. But, if the lyrics are meant to be a dig at Bush/Blair, come out and say it directly. It's like he wants to make a statement but doesn't have the balls to come out and say it. (Ever heard of Dixie Chicks?) As for the entire album, I am a big fan of Muse and I am let down a bit. I think Muse has gone too flaky and lost their touch. Oh well, it was a good run. Perhaps the boys should spend more time writing songs and less time burning flags. | |

| it's definitely something to do with Bush and Blair. It's basically depciting the fact that Bush and Blair have sent many soliders in iraq to their deaths i.e."And risk, you will risk You will risk all the lives and their souls" The song is also saying that because of all the hatred and death you have brought upon their respective countries, Bellamy hopes that they pay the price for their actions "Burn in hell". The line "Take a bow" is sarcastic and ironic, as these leaders believe people should be applauding and loving them for removing dictators, and yet all their citizens want is for them to end the horror in Iraq and step down as President and Prime Minister respectively | |

| I don't think this song is about Osama. Seems more like it's about a politician. The lyrics "Now freedoms concealing itself What we've become Is contrary to what we want Take a bow" Seem to refer to how government appears to be forsaking the very freedoms they are fighting for. | |

| This is the greatest anti-Bush song ever. Burn in hell, Bush. I wonder what the secret service would think if they heard this song? | |

| Thanks chat-noir for actually putting the correct lyrics up. This song isn't about Bush, it's about all leaders, as most everyone has said. Muse isn't an American band, and although the United States' issues have relativity and importance everywhere in the world (just as every country has effect on any other), I think it's impolitic to say that it's about Bush. This can apply to a vast majority of leaders, into which category Bush may fit, but it isn't solely about him. Muse is too good to pigeon-hole something to that specific. Besides, I wouldn't say Bush is corrupt. Sure he is constantly making questionable, if not reckless choices, but he isn't corrupt. The song on the other hand, is brilliant. | |

| First comment is that the lyrics above here has tons of mistakes. Anyway, its kinda rough with the "burn in hell" part, but at least its honoust and very true ! Thats right Osama, burn in hell! | |

| "An our freedom's consuming itself" I think this refers to the budding 'big brother' society that the UK has become since the London bombings... Or in other words, to get more freedom from terrorism, the government is takes freedom away to combat terrorism. | |

| i'm standing with the those guys who think this is about Bush and Blair. This song seems to touch on aspects of their careers. "cast a spell" and "feed the hate" relates to them pumping fear and hatred of terrorism and linking it to the middle east. freedom consuming itself has to be related to the patriot act. the lives and souls relates to the soldiers sent to war, and the crimes against the earth could be not only be the shitty diplomacy but also Bush's conservative views towards the environment and pulling the US out of the kyoto treaty. | |

| I really think that it's more like Absolution peppered with a a certain political feel. The new CD is excellent. And this is a fantastic opener. | |

| I wonder if this song is about our real political leaders? Bellamy seems pretty obsessed with the notion of revolution and failure of leadership on this CD... Interesting that it starts off with that little repeating digital noise, similar in a way to the way Origin of Symmetry begins. A review I read said that this song is the link to Absolution - I sort of agree, track 2 starts moving in a totally different direction with a dancier, more electronic feel. But then the whole album swings back towards awesome space-cowboy-opera rock. | |

| This is _so_ totaly about bush! This is all you ever wanted to throw at him. I LOVE this song. And they don't name him directly because then the song would loose its touch. Like the difference between a movie where two lovers come hand in hand out of a room, she slingering slightly and a hardcore porn. I's something about style! | |
