| When i hear this song i picture someone who tried to kill themselves (possibly over a girl) but survived through it. They laying on the floor asking themselves.. "love destroyed this body...have i survived??" I remember going to a concert well before XIII was released, JMann said they had wrote a slow song for everyone to dance to, and asked for everyone to grab a partner and dance.....and then they played this song | |

| And put my heart away To start another game It's getting old With nowhere to go I think it is about a break up I mean not completely, it is about a guy who is really depressed and sees no reason to go on anymore but he's like that because of relationships. It seems he is trying to move on though....When he says "to start another game, its getting old" it makes me think that maybe he's talking about getting into another relationship. But fuck I could be completely off but I don't care because I love this song and I've had my heart broken alot so my interpretation works for me....ya know..... | |

| It is indeed "Fade like cologne". Although the song is about faith. The whole "Ringing doubt full of ways out Of something to hold ". It was about a relationship it would of been "someone to hold". "We've been brought here for a reason Be it fate or internal treason Souls will be saved or mutiny's waged As we plead for something to believe in " This stanza alone makes it seem like i about religion. | |

| Its actually "I erode, Faith like cologne." Mornings gone echoes of dawn= The dawn of a new understanding. He has lost his faith. The "emotional" part of the song is talking about being tired of struggling with his faith constantly. He has lost the love of a woman, but the love of his GOD. | |

| interesting interpretation. i never thought of it like that. i personally think it's about someone who has nothing to look forward to in life and has lost all will to live the rest of his life. it's sort of a depressing song but i love it anyway. i don't live my life off of song lyrics. lol. | |
