	I actually think the song is about a relationship. Losing the love you had for eachother but still staying because time heals everything. You try to be ignorant of the fact that the love has died and they regret trying to force the relationship. Day to day they regret it.

	To me this song is about how in the past people have messed up and are now living in regret of their mistakes. "cancelled compassion this is our ignorance"= we stopped careing and we are ignorant for doing so. "Stay time heals everything One more day to regret"= constantly waiting for the pain to fade away leaves you in just another day

	i think its about people who live their lives in regret of the past. the things they did and worse the things they didn't do. regret for the things you do can be tempered by time, regret for the things you didn't do are inconsolable.

	Sublime has a point. Who wants to live forever? Its a very, very long time. Never ending. He fears death, since he's getting older as each day goes by, he regrets not finding an alternative to the afterlife, and thus pleads to find the answer as you can hear when he sings this. But, it also might be about a failed relationship, and he just wants one more day to remember everything before he moves on with his life. If thats the case, must've been one good relationship.
