	This song always makes me laugh. It opens with the sound of a heart monitor flatlining... right before we get a big 'YEEEAAAAAHHHHH!' and a big widdly guitar solo. I'm dead! Yeah! Party time! Plus the la-la-la-la-la part. Good song.

	It's not telling the story of the patient. Part of the album isn't about the patient, but about the philosophy of death. While some may feel depressed about dying young, or too early Tongue-tied and oh so squeamish You never fell in love Did you get what you deserve? The ending of your life the afterlife may be much better than life on earth And if you get to heaven I'll be here waiting, babe Did you get what you deserve? I don't know what some of the other lyrics mean, but that's my interpretation of those.

	i think this song doesn't have too many comments because it's pretty obvious what it's about, i mean, the title says it all anyway this is an awesome song it totally makes me feel better about the idea of death, i'm not so scared of it anymore..

	I don't like this song, I rated it 1. anyways....it sucks and I dispise MCR because of this song. lolz.

	Dead! When I hear Dead! my frown turns upside down, this song is nothing without "The End", the song before it. To me it's about a boy, who just happened to wake up dead, and see all his family and friends, those who cared, and those who could of cared less. He finds out death is not what he expected, and not what he feared, but in the end to me the song is a sarcastic appology to the world he once new, and a joyful hello to the world that awaits him. With this song, no I take that back, with this entire album, I see an explaniton of the beauty in death, and noone is wrong with how the interpret music, its what they see, and what they feel. This song is one of my favorites from MCR, I love it, I rate it 5 fucking stars, because thats what it is

	Great song.. its just bitter sweet.. well the patient's dying and he's thinking about his life and its just sad to die cuz he never fell in love, but then perhapes dying is good cuz it'll be the end of his misery, and maybe a better afterlife. and he's thinking that when he dies, it won't really matter to anyone "think they never liked you anyway" so he's just given in to death. "wouldn't it be great if we were dead" maybe the saddest part is that during the operation "Found a complication in your heart" why the heart and not anything else? i think it just means he's lost heart to live, juz heart broken.. death prolly will be more of a salvation to him.
