Chorus 2x, I think the second time they hit every chord just 4 times,
instead of 8, but I’m not sure
Tip: if you have a gibson or gibson-type guitar (epiphone) with the large
switch for the 2 elements and don’t have any pedals to switch the distortion,
just put the rhythm-volume on 2 and the treble volume on 10, then put you
amplifier on half distortion. You can use the rhythm for the verses and
treble for the chorus and the hard part of the last verse. have fun.

| i find it disheartening that so many people have made comments dissing the "so called 'popular' people" at their school. if they are truely bad people than does making fun of them or hating them make you any better than they are. they are people too, and they have their own problems. i'd like to think that the song isn't about popular people in specific more like how society just arbitrarily picks popular people. anyway... so the one-month steady plan, was the singer serious or was it just more satire about popularity? intially i was leaning towards serious, but then he gets kinda sarcastic with the whole "you're so novel" bit. what do you think? | |

| i first heard this song in jr high. all the popular people were more commonly refered to as preps. sad thing is after all of this shit my friends and i caught off of them they ended up exactly were we were and weve already moved on. i know that no one really cares about that but this song pops into my head every time i think back to then. ill never forget it ...Nada Surf is the shit | |

| This is such a great song. It's a biography of the majority of high school students. It is simply the description of everything I am against, and it is a mockery of it, which tickles my fancy. Awesome! | |
