Song:In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
This a great acoustic song, one of the first I ever learned to play; concequently it is
very easy
Chords:
G 320000
Em 022000
C X32010
D XX0232
this song is all strumming
Play in progression G-Em-C-D repeatedly
play each chord in this strum pattern (^=upstroke v=downstroke) its easy to pick up
from the song
|v---v^v^--|v---v^v^--|
in slow part play this pattern:
|v-----vvv|

| There is one section of this song that is a bit of an anomaly from the tone of the rest of the piece Now how I remember you How I would push my fingers through Your mouth to make those muscles move That made your voice so smooth and sweet And now we keep where we don't know All secrets sleep in winter clothes With one you loved so long ago Now he don't even know his name There is, as someone said before, a large amount of optimism in this song, but that one stanza is rather nostalgic, sad, I wouldn't say bitter...but... any comments? | |

| My most favorite song of all time. Each and every time I listen to it, it's like the first time all over again. Absolutely pure beauty put into music. Right here. | |

| This song, following the seeming introduction to the life of the "character" (for lack of a better term) that seems to dominate the album with the two parts of king of carrot flowers, seems to serve as a beginning for the actual story, and it reflects the optimism that accompanies most all beginnings. | |
