| I think this song is about someone who never took a chance in life and let people push him around. He never "opened his eyes" and thus just lived a boring life, a cog in a cold, lifeless machine. All his dreams just died out and he's living such a routine life that tomorrow just feels like yesterday. | |

| It's deeper than that, and plus this song is speaking to more than one person. I think it's about a wasted vision, apathy in a large sense. The writer sees this wasted chance at pursuing this vision (or truth) but at the same time wonders if anybody even knows where this missed opportunity has taken humanity. | |
