Woo! my first ever tab! any problems, make a comment. just dont be a dick and go "wrong,

This great song was written by Joy Division, and was only performed by them once before
suicide of Ian Curtis. It was released in 1981 by the remaining members of Joy Division,

Lyrics-
This is why events unnerve me,
They find it all, a different story,
Notice whom for wheels are turning,
Turn again and turn towards this time,
All she ask's the strength to hold me,
Then again the same old story,
World will travel, oh so quickly,
Travel first and lean towards this time.
Oh, I'll break them down, no mercy shown,
Heaven knows, it's got to be this time,
Watching her, these things she said,
The times she cried,
Too frail to wake this time.
Oh I'll break them down, no mercy shown
Heaven knows, it's got to be this time,
Avenues all lined with trees,
Picture me and then you start watching,
Watching forever, forever,
Watching love grow, forever,
Letting me know, forever.

To me it sounds like he could be talking about a wedding. I'm probably wrong, but that's what I picture while listening to this song. Either way, it is a GREAT song.

apparently this was the last song written by joy division before ian curtis killed himself. i think this is about frustration with the world, everyone sees things differently. when love forces us to join, problems arise.

This is one of those songs that has something very pure about it and just seems timeless- one of those songs that over the past 7 years seems to not be tainted by horrible memories. As for the lyrics, I never paid attention to them, except the 'watching you forever.' There's something very fragile about it. "Picture me and then you start watching Watching forever, forever" It reminds me of not wanting to get close to someone just in case they break and the destructive/painful safety in maintaining a distance. I agree with virtualita in it being very vulnerable..

listening to this song gives me that "complete" feeling. I do like New Order's version more than Joy Division's though.

Somebody once said that this song sounds like Barney Sumner sounds like he is possessed by Ian Curtis, and I couldn't agree more. I think he captured how Ian intended it perfectly, and both recordings sound almost identical. Also, I heard there is a version with Peter Hook doing vocals, anybody know if this is true?
