This song is just about sticking to yourself. Not giving up. Sometimes life sucks, but don't worry there will be something better down the road. Also, how many of us have had "frienemies"?! We've all had at least one. This guy is just saying that somewhere, there's a calling, there's a reason why we're all here. Such a shame that this group isn't around anymore. This actually is the last song that came out that Joni Mitchell was a fan of!

I purchased the CD almost the day it came out, took it home, and listened to this one song over and over for two and a half hours. What an emotional high - the lyrics, the musical style, it all came together. The next day I went down to the church and played it on the piano - top to bottom - having memorized the chords. It is still one of my favorites to play, and I have been playing for 30 years. What an upbeat, down-to-earth tribute to humanity!

Very cool song, the New Radicals were short-lived. Interesting story there about Gregg Alexander - I heard an interview with him on the radio, and he was VERY mellow. Unmistakenly had taken a lot of drugs. Judging by the "anti-establishment" lyrics and the band name, I'm guessing that he really did not like fame and couldn't handle it. Ever since Kurt Kobain I think that the music industry is more wary of those sorts of people who don't want the attention that fame brings. Anyway great song, lots of energy.

Great song. If it pissed Marilyn Manson, then it rocks. Rebellion is good once in a while.
