| The album came out when I was 13, but I didn't buy it until a year later....and that's when I learned what the second line said. Pretty awesome timing, really, especially since the rest of it seemed to coincide with me anyway. | |

| I think this song is about how when you're growing up it may seem like things couldn't get any worse, and the world around you is falling apart but that doesn't mean you have to fall apart. "You've got a reason to live." And never forget that. | |

| I love this song... methinks it*s a real shame that they are a "one hit wonder" ((not that that matters)) but that the split because of that! grr. | |

| New Radicals... a bit more poppy than anything else I listen to, but God, I love this band. And this song... holy shit. This song IS MY LIFE. I've got the dreamers disease, I have my crazy moments, I live by music, and I've had thousands of conversations with my friends about being "flat broke". This is a song every single person should listen to, because I have a feeling it's not just my life... it's the life of every single fucking human being out there. And that's what makes it so great. | |

| this song is awesome, and it's one of my favorites of all time, "you get what you give" is definitely something good to live by. i just wanted to say that i think this is funny -- "Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson // You're all fakes, etc" well, greg alexander of the new radicals worked with hanson on their latest album. he wrote a song with them "lost without each other." it's a really good song. anyway, that amuses me to no end. probably because i'm a hanson fan though. but also, along the majority of their millions of fans, i'm not a pre-teen. | |

| Sounds to me like it's going out to that little kid that started getting picked on as a kid and they are encouraging him not to commit suicide because he has so much life left and potential. At least until the "you get ehat u give" I always like it on a less personal level...especially the idea of "one dance left"....carpe diem, ya know? | |
