	i think that nick was really hurt with what happened with the whole jessica thing, and now because of that hes "half the man he thought he would be" like he didnt handle it or he isnt the way that he thought he would be... i dont think he wants her back, even if he did love her alot, but hes ready to move on and his new girl can have "whats left"

	i mean personally i really didn't like the song when it first came out.. actually until just recently when i fell in love with it. i thought he was kinda like whining and stuff but i can tell it's really heartfelt .. especially after i saw the music video. and although it may be somewhat cheesy and unoriginal it really touches me and strikes something inside of me everytime i hear it

	I don't necessarily think he is saying that he messed up the relationship but he has made mistakes, who hasn't? I think that even though there were arguments he still needs her and loves her. But since she's gone he's half the man he thought he'd be. He is still willing to give it another shot though - if she'll take what's left of him. I kinda boycotted this song for a while because I had grown tired of Nick and Jessica. But after hearing how much he still loves her I decided to give it a try and i really like it a lot.
