It's based off that one chick who had sex with random men off the street when she sleepwalked. Nice little pun Tuomas did with this song.

Actually, there are a TON of references to the musical "Phantom of the Opera" in this song. "Silently the senses abandon all defenses" is a direct quote from the song "Music of the Night" from that musical. Unending Masquerade is a play on another song from the story...The feeling is that Christine is singing the words "I dare to enter your ecstasy" and the Phantom replies "In your dreams you're mine..." just like in the Song "Phantom of the Opera/Through the Mirror"

Sleepwalker, was the first song I heard by Nightwish, and to this day, its still my favourite. I love to sing it. Opera and Metal, my two favourite styles blended into one.

I read on a website that sleepwalker is slang for a slut, a person who is always looking for sex. So Arm i think your spot on.

Rhenna, you're right. I came to this site looking to see if I was the only one who saw the references, with direct lines from one song and a reference to another. Glad it wasn't just me going a bit phantom of the opera crazy.
