| I think we all know what this song is really about... If you are going to cheat around with your best friend's wife, take your gun with you. That way, it doesn't get used in some robbery, and you can shoot your friend if you have to. :) Just kidding, I agree with binni on this one. | |

| Uhh... I've heard three versions of this. Gary Moore / Phil Lynott, Sonata Arctica, and Nightwish. I like all three artists, but I'd have to say that the Nightwish version is the worst. Don't get me wrong, Nightwish is great, but they just don't interpret the song that well, or add anything to it. The Sonata Arctica cover, which is closer to the original, seems better. Maybe because it's sung by a guy, which just sounds right. I think the Sonata Arctica version is a better cover because it's seems to channel the energy of the original song far better... it's like the singer in the Nightwish version just doesn't give a shit about the song and is just doing a cover for the sake of covering it. | |

| I'm a little late on the Nightwish bandwagon but I recently found this band, and this song is just awesome. I agree with TheDarkJay as far as he didn't want to ruin his friends' marriage, but I don't know if i agree with the marriage being ended anyway. | |

| This song doesn't make sense to me... I get the general sense of the songs but some details don't match up! But it definately reminds of Count of Monte Cristo(Kick ass movie, does justice to the book) What would you guys prefer? Door Number 1: Tell your Best Friend that you fucked his wife? Door Number 2: Go to jail for 10 years and still having the same problem you started off with when you get back home? I mean, after the ten years how is he gonna get the woman he loves? One way or another the friend gets a stick up the ass, but why choose the one where you both get sticks up the ass? Doesnt make sense to me... And if it's based on some law, most cultures ago didnt permit divorce... | |

| One of the best songs ever, it's unbelievable how crappy the original is and what Nightwish did to it. | |

| Lol, you guys have no idea what this song is about... I guess too much televison does that to little kids like you! Its about daydreaming, its the simplest way to explain it to you!! It's about dreaming your life away: "For this gift of dream I must pay the price with the loss of life´s pleasures" ...Nothing in reality could ever compare to your dreams...So don't compare, and you'll be happy! ...as for your guys's theory about "before technology" crap...Well, i don't think people were all that happy then...If you ever took history you'd know. People were lucky if they lived to 30, they suffered immensely... I wonder how you'd feel if you walked in their shoes for a few days? Hmm? Sore, hungry and wanting your technology back... | |
