LYRICS/CHORDS:

N.C.
Oh, My

C G Am F
Throw the girls on down in my fancy bridge
C G Am F
And the man to my left is foldin' down
C G Am F
Well, Johnny doubled up with a royal flush
C G Am F
I had three jacks, and a pair of nines
C G Am F
My mind is turnin' just two shots more
C G Am F
There’s not much left to play
C G Am F
Well, then a dude walks in black hat on top,
C G Am F
What a mop, I'm lucky it wasn't a county cop
C G Am F
'Cause I'm just runnin' out of time

Yeah…

C Am C Am C Am C

N.C.
Who's up for game
C G Am F
Two? What to do, my wallet's gettin' thin,
C G Am F
And I just lost my watch last night
C G Am F
I've got a problem, just one answer
C G
Got to throw it all down and kiss it goodbye, yeah!

C Am C Am C Am C

CHORUS:

That was a crazy game of poker.

I lost it all.

But someday I'll be back again, oh, oh,

Never to fall, never fold.

C Am C Am C Am C

SAME CHORD PROGRESSION
Who's up for game three
I can barely see the bourbon drowning next to me
And I just lost it all
well there's a man sittin’ next to me
Red with smiling eyes.
It's funny, I don't have no money tonight

That was a crazy game of poker
I lost it all
but someday I’ll be back again
And I'm never to fall
never to fall

BRIDGE [N.C.]
Bada biba....
I say now skitili dat dat dat
Well how bout that?
I'm coming out the front never coming out the back

I walked into the bar yesterday
Cause I had something to do, something to say
And Johnny walked in right behind me and I didn't turn around
Til I hear the sound of his feet falling on the ground
I looked over my shoulder and I saw a clown
And I said what'cha doin' in the bar tonight?

THIS PART IS HAMMERED ON WITH Am
And I said Johnny whatcha doing tonight?
He looked at me with a face full of fright
And I said, how bout a revolution?
And he said right.

THIS PART IS HAMMERED ON WITH Am
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die

And I said, what'cha looking at?
He hit me across the face with a bat
I grabbed my .45 and I said let's get out and go
Well so he opened the door and said "now whatcha here for?"
I said I'm wandering down the road 44
and I said I've been walking
for about a thousand years.

And my feet are growing tired
My eyes a little wired
Don't know what to do unless I retire
And he just said let's play some crazy poker

THIS PART IS HAMMERED ON WITH Am

So I said Johnny whatcha doing tonight?
He looked at me with a face full of fright
And I said, how bout a revolution?
And he said right.

I said that, was the craziest game of poker that I ever saw
I said that, was the craziest game of poker that I ever saw
But I'm not gonna quit and I'm not gonna stop
Don't give a *** cause I got the drop
Johnny just got two eyes just like mine
And I'm feeling kinda funky, kinda fine

And I drank a bottle of whiskey, before I came
Came to the bar to see what's the same
I saw my man named Johnny sittin' across the table from me

And to my left was a man, he had no gin
Didn't even think about starting to sin
The man to my right wasn't feeling kinda nice
He looked kinda mad and I felt bad
Beacuse I took his money last night it's kinda funny
But now I'm just struggling--
I need a honey-bunny.
I don't know what to say anymore
So I'm just gonna go out the front door

THIS PART IS HAMMERED ON WITH Am
So I said Johnny whatcha doing tonight?
He looked at me with a face full of fright
And I said, how bout a revolution?
And he said right.
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say jah
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say jah
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say jah
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say jah jah jah
Day oh!

I think that this song is just super catchy...I am dreading the day I turn on the MTV and this song is being played OVER and OVER..somewhere between the new NSYNC video and the New Britney Spears Video! I think that the lyrics are real fun, and OAR is one outstanding group of musicians. They have the combination of the HOOK and Intelligance! Yeah, Dispatch is pretty good too! Keep Rocking!

Crazy Game of Poker isn't going on MTV any time soon, but you know what, if it does I'll be glad for the guys. They are some of the most downright good natured cool people out there and I'd actually be plenty happy if they started making fistfuls of cash for their music cause it really pisses me off seeing jackasses like N'Sync and Kid Rock making cash and cool, hard working people like OAR only selling 150,000 copies of their CD when their music is tons better. OAR is one of the very few good bands left that actually encourages audience members to audio record their shows and trade with other fans, they are one of the few good bands left that actually have a website up where you can listen to EVERY SINGLE TRACK that they have EVER put on a CD for ABSOUTLY FREE. I mean these guys deserve to make a lot of money, more then they are now, and I really don't think that making money would hurt them cause I've hung out with them and they really are just normal guys who love making kickass music. Oh well, thats just my opinion, and I'd be pretty pissed if some of their music did go on MTV or MTV2 and people started to come on here and say stuff like, "Man OAR are such sellouts", guys they have put on some absoutly amazing FREE kickass shows on OSU campus and I know they are put on great free shows elsewhere, they are one of the few bands that DESERVE to finally sell out and start making some of the green. That's just my opinion, OAR are great guys and I really don't think money would change their style of music one bit. I'd be really happy for them if they made it big and I'd still be one of their biggest fans. Okay that was really long winded, but ya'll get the point :)

i agree with sierp. this song could also be about the duality of man, but i pulled that out of my ass. by the way they have the first verse lyrics wrong, it should be: my twenty thrown down in my fist of rage and the man to my left just folded down johnny doubled up with a royal flush i had three jacks and a pair of nines my mind is turning just two shots more there's not much left to play then dude walks in black hat on top, what a mop im lucky it wasnt a county cop, cause im just running out of time

Well, regarding that live version, I have a copy of a similiar version from their show on 2-27-2002. Wheels generally has it right, I'm sure they have slight variations per show. I've seen them live once and the way they did it at my show was completely different from the 2 other live versions I have. In every live version I've heard, they try to pass on a positive message, because O.A.R. is a very positive band. Look for me on Direct Connect (as SLATE or slate2002) and you can get the songs off of me. Be sure to drop me a message. :)
