| This is as Lennonesque as one can get. Good job Liam. This song is about him and his son, saying "we're born on a different cloud" kind of alienating himself from society. To me, it has elements of the beatles songs "happiness is a warm gun" and "while my guitar gently weeps" both of which are from the white album, and oddly enough are right next to each other in the tracklisting. Go figure. | |

| Liam wrote 3 different songs and worked them all together! It is writtern about his son, Lennon, and does have numerous links to John Lennon! Personally i think Heathen Chemistry puts up a good fight to be Oasis' 2nd best album after Definitely Maybe & without this song the album would have been missing that little bit it needed, could you imagine the following albums without these songs? (WTSMG? - Champagne Supernova, BHN - All Around The World, SOTSOG - Gas Panic) | |

| This is by far my favorite Liam-written song. I still find it hard to believe he wrote it, it seems waaaay out of his league. I hope he writes more songs like this; long, with amazing lyrics. | |

| Remember Liam's not the best songwritter in the band, and we all have to admit that he's trying out and he has gotten better since Little James. You shouldn't be trying to compare him to Lennon, because it makes him look bad. No one will ever be like Lennon. | |

| Is it just me, or are there some references to their idol John Lennon here? "Living on borrowed time" -- John Lennon had a song entitled "Borrowed Time" "You're my sun..." -- a reference to Liam's son whom he named "Lennon"? "...and you're gonna shine" -- a reference to the line in the Lennon song "Instant Karma" -- "we all shine on" "Nothing ever gets done/Not until your war's won" -- John Lennon fought "a war" for peace ("Give Peace A Chance"/"Power To The People"/"Happy X-Mas (War Is Over)" Perhaps I'm just trying too hard to find these, though. | |

| Some of these Lennon connections seem to be a bit of a stretch, but the lines "classless, clever and free" and "living on borrowed time" could have likely been pinched. Either way, it's a fantastic song and at the rate Liam's going he'll soon be one of the best songwriters in music. | |

| I reckon this is perhaps partly a homage to Lennon, but surely some of them are a stretch, as pointed out. I think it's more of a tribute to both Lennon's (Gallagher and John) and well, it's a rocking tune. More about a sense of isolation, or so I reckon. Being isolated from a community, from everyone, being left behind in a changing world. | |

| I am liking Liam's songs, but we all know he is a Beatles freak, or actually a Lennon freak. He likes to sound like the Beatles. I was annoyed how he seams to steal little tid-bits of Lennon's lyrics, but he did pick the right man to steal from, one of the best song writers ever. Liam knows that we know he is trying to sound like the Beatles. So who cares and let him write how ever he wants. His tunes are not that bad at all. As for Noel. I must say the "chief" is losing his touch, but he has proved himself with millions of albums sold, so who gives a shit. You can't expect artist to write brilliant songs for the rest of their lives. I still like Oasis and will buy their albums even the critics say they suck. | |

| Noel says...Born on a Different Cloud (Liam's song)-"Born On A Different Cloud. Well that was in France playing a piano. Same again I don't really play that much. Only chords and that and I thought and the melody come and I wrote the words. I don't know where it comes from but what I wrote was like I had read this book Living On Borrowed Time by Frederick Seeman. That is probably the only book I have ever read and it was like living on borrowed time, born on a different cloud that was where it all came from." | |

| I think's it's a great song, one of my favourites off Heathen Chemistry and I was amazed that Liam wrote it, it's a big step upwards from "Little James". It does soundd quite Lennony but thats great, it's not like Lennon can sound like Lennon any more, Liam may as well | |
