I spend my time sitting on a fence with a mate of mine

D A G D
'cos life is well tried and it bores me. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

Bm F#m
In my well-paid opinion
G A
These things, they really don't matter
Bm F#m G
But from my crystal gazing eyes

There shines a light, like dynamite

tryin' to write the lines of a story
We believe that everything said
is a waste of time 'cos life is well tried
and it bores me. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

In my well-paid opinion
These things, they really don't matter
'Cos from my crystal gazing eyes
There shines a light
Like Dynamite.

Love this song. BHN-era Oasis is my favorite, and this is a great b-side from the All Around The World single.

I remember loving this song so much some years ago. It's simple indeed, but to me it carries such a bittersweet tone...Noel, being older, talking about his "flashbax" to his past. It would make me weep recalling my own youth days, when I would be just sitting anywhere with my friends and just enjoying our presence without so much to worry about. Now those days are over and each of us has gone our way, but those days remain so precious in my life. So often I have my own flashbacks. And the most hurting thing of all, knowing and being totally aware that those moments will never ever go back.
