| Heard somewhere Noel changed Gary Glitter's version as to not be associated with him? Seems stupid? Can anyone confirm this? | |

| the lines "we had the chance and threw it away And it's never gonna be the same " make me think of a relationship that ended,or failed attempts at ones. "And it's never gonna be the same 'Til the life I knew comes to my house and says Hello Hello! Hello! Hello! Hello! It's good to be back " makes me think that the person is done with the moping around b/c of the rejection and just wants to be happy again, hence the whole "the life i knew",like their previous life before the shit hit the fan. they realize life is way to short to sit around and dwell and you just gotta move on and it's worth it, b/c "it's good to be back" i just love this song. it makes me just want to say FUCK YOU to anyone who put me down. just the ending is awesome "hello....it's good to be back" | |

| 'There aint no sense in feeling lonely, you got no faith in you' is one of my favourite oasis lines. This song certainly leaves you determined to get on with your life and stop dwelling on the past..with a renewed belief and confidence like coming back stronger and better. AWESOME | |

| This song speaks to me at the moment because my girlfriend left me a few months ago. To me it is talking about the fact that nothing will ever be the same until life the way it was returns (which it probably won't). It's not so much about "getting over it" - the only reference to this is the "ain't no sense in feeling lonely" line - as it is about feeling rubbish about things. "The years are going by.." refers to time passing and still feeling just as crap about things. That's what it says to me anyway! | |
