Intro:
-----
Here's my attempt at the intro. It may not be exactly how Noel's playing
it, but it sounds almost exactly the same. For a couple of other attempts
at how to play the intro, see the bottom of this transcription...
Chords used in intro:
Am (x07500)
Am/G# (x06500) [official book: Am(maj7/G#) (4x2210)]
Am7 (x05500) [official book: Am7/G (3x2210)]

Am/D (x00500) [official book: D (xx0232)]
E7 (020100)
So here it goes:
Am Am/G# Am7 Am/F# Fmaj7/A Am/D Am E7 (repeat)
While the book has the intro like this:
Am Am(maj7/G#) Am7/G Am6/F# Fmaj7 D G Am E7

And then
Chorus:
-------
C

G F G C G
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't
C
Know how it's gonna be
C/B
Please brother let it be
Am
Life on the other hand
G F G

Am A7sus4 Fmaj7/A A7sus4 Am E7

Am A7sus4 Fmaj7/A A7sus4 D F
G E E7
Say it loud, and sing it proud today
Verse 2
-------
I'm not saying right is wrong
It's up to us to make
The best of all the things that come our way
'Cos everything that's been has passed
The answer's in the looking glass
There's four and twenty million doors
Down life's endless corridor
Say it loud and sing it proud today
And then
CHORUS
After chorus the chords: C B/C Am G are repeated for a while.
OUTRO (same as intro)
A few more attempts at intro/outro: (NOTE: tab below doesn't show the
rythym that should be used, just the chord forms)

| firstly ciaran this song is not about God's masterplan as both the gallaghers are atheists, and pretty hardline on that. i rekon its about immigration into countries, and how poeple dont give the imigrants a chance, and class them as nips, niggers, outsiders etc. and they arnt able to express themselfs they want to. basically just the injustices served upon mirgrants well thats what the song means to me anyway. | |
