| Noel's borrowing riffs technique is briiliant again with Shakermaker...The New Seekers who wrote "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" should bow down to the GODS | |

| There is a live version, that i have where Liam sings the Line "Id like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony - Id like to buy the world a coke to keep it company" - obvously taken from the new seekers original and the coke advert - but i like this version better than the album version becasue its more "heavy" on the guitars - I still like the album version though | |

| This song, when i first heard it i was about 6, and to like a song so much at six is pretty amazin, but this song turned me into an oasis fan in 1995 and i still worship their songs today, and probably will 4 the rest of my life. It will b incredibly difficult 2 see a band come along with more flair, more inspiration and more sheeeeeeine in my lifeteeeeeeeeime! It's just a song so fresh and 10 yrs after it was written it is still a fresh song that cud knock any song in the charts of top spot if it were re-released...........but why re-release it, its here, its been here 4 ages and if u havn't heard then u r eithr 2 young r a nutcase. If u hav heard it (mor than 100 times) and u still adore this song then u r propr MAD FER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| Noel wrote this song as a piss take, he purposfully made it sound like the start of the coke commercial and made it as stupid as possible. does anyone else think it's weird that the first line of the first Oasis single was "i need to be myself" and the first line of the second single was "i'd like to be somebody else" ? i jus think that's a but perculiar | |
