"The Hindu Times" by Oasis, from the album "Heathen Chemistry" (2002).
Tabbed by Medalion (medalionemissary@hotmail.com) Printed March 04, 2002.
Standard EADGBe tuning, no capo.
This is a GREAT new song by Oasis in awhile. It's "high" energy cocky Oasis rock n' roll
of the old days!!! The
song is a return to their rock n' roll roots. The song gets a bit repetitive but never loses
it's edge and the hook riff
is pretty catchy. The riff is a rock n' roll take on a hindu like riff. There are subtle
variations to this riff as you
will see from my tab... I had to be THOROUGH!!! There are also alternatives to the riffs,
whichever is easier for you to
play.
This is a very easy song to play, utilizing two guitars. The lyrics were printed from
hearing the song
over and over, as it is difficult to understand some of Liam's pronounciations as his
voice is getting shot over the
years. What can we say? Cigarettes & Alcohol is the culprit! And I don't mean by singing
the Oasis song...
I have been playing guitar for 1 year and 1 month approximately now. This tab is already
100% correct, so there is
probably no need for other "versions" I'm pretty confident. I am a BIG Oasis fan, and
as I write this tab, the album
"Heathen Chemistry" isn't out for another 3 months! But you can play the new single yourself
now. Check it out! ;)
Chord Legend (fingering positions in the EADGBe string order)

| Its a great song, probably the best come back song ive ever herd. But even though if anyone has herd same size feet by the phonics you can see the simalarity. I cant realy find any meaning to it, but still top class. | |
