i was burning the waiting cd by thursday when i searched thursday on kazaa this song came up. so i burned it along with the rest of the songs thinking maybe it was a hidden track? but the more i listened to the song i knew the voice wasn't geoff's. so yeh this was a useless story.. and yeh i walked into a show and this band started playing this song and i was like "wow i know this because i thought it was thursday!" but yeh! it has alot of that thursday element.. open hand is really awesome.. ok i'll shut up

muahaha, this song is not by Thursday. some half-brain computer self-proclaimed genius who came across the mp3 decided that he would rather give credit for this amazing song to Thursday. Thursday is an amazing band, with amazing-amazing songs, but "The Dream" isn't one of them. I found this song (and found out about the phenom that is Open Hand) when i downloaded "The Dream" with Thursday as the artist. However anyone, who even sparsely listens to the song can realize that it is not Thursday. Some of the guitar might be along the same lines, vaguely. But the vocals should be all the proof you need. But, if you need more than just your filial ears as proof, check out the open hand site... www.openhandmusic.com ... gingerbread

Explain how Open Hand's music is more complex. I think the bands are just different, Thursday sounds pretty complex to me, especially if you pay attention to the lyrics b/c they are filled with metaphorical references. I'm not dissing Open Hand or anything, because I like them alot, especially this song. They are also excellent live so def check them out if you get a chance.

the first line is "As I sit by myself". Well, I found this band totally by mistake. I was on audiogalaxy looking at thursday songs, and this one was listed as "Thursday - the Dream". So I downloaded it, and after I realized it wasn't thursday, I looked everywhere to find out who it was. It's a beautiful song, i'm happy I found this group. :)

I love this song. It makes me cry thought and I'm not sure why. I think it's the "I'll find my way" part. Great song. I'm not a hundred percent sure what it's about but it seems that a girl left him, he lost contact with her and is questioning why and whether she was ever really there. I guess she kinda turned her back on him and what not. The whole share thing, I don't get. "Help me share"? Hmmm...

Yea i saw the tune as Thursday, The Dream then i heard it and was like no wayy that is not geoff's voice... but it was a great tune...its nice to know that not everyone thinks the song is by thursday... Open Hand deserves some credit for making an amazing tune so spread the good word that its not Thursday, The Dream but really Open Hand, The dream.... peace all

I also downloaded it under Thursday, but didn't find out it was Open Hand until I got the Plea For Peace Volume 2 CD, and heard the same song on there. I was confused. Oh well. This song is great, as is Open Hand.

Under the Band "Thursday" they have this song which its really by open hand but they actually go the lyrics right. As I sit by myself, I've come from so, so far away. In such little time I have gave, my soul, my mind, I've tried so hard to find. Is this what I must do to get by? And I ask myself why? Why don’t you run, why don’t you call me, I’ll wait here. I’ll find my way, or will you help me out this year? Does she understand me? Listen to what I say. Turning her back, on my dreams. Watching, waiting. You turn your back. I’ll find my way home, You turn your back. Turn your back on my dream, So strong, so weak, we’re stronger still. Is this what I must do? This I, why? I know. Why don’t you run, why don’t you call me, I’ll wait here. I’ll find my way, or will you help me out this year? thats what they have hmm...... I duno guys its a good song. -STIX-

Yeah sorry, I was the one who posted these lyrics as Thursday. I was mistaken...but really the half brain computer self proclaimed genius is the one who actually put Thursday down on the mp3 that I downloaded on Kazaa! Why can't they just put the REAL artist. Heh. Anyway, yeah I really love this song, no matter who it's by. But now I have discovered a new band, Open Hand. So it's good that it wasn't Thursday. :)

for the idiots who don't know computers someone just put the filename as an thursdays song so that everyone would download it and come to know another band instead of being narrowminded to whats on mtv. other then that O:H doesn't have a thursday element....not even close....sorry...open hands music is a little bit more complex....thanx
