"Fetisha" by Orgy
Tabbed by Carey Phelps (ShapeShifter)
Tuning: Dropped D Tuning
---How to D tune: In D tuning, the only string that is changed is the
E string, the biggest one. The rest of the strings remain in standard
tuning. Turn the knob at the top of the guitar neck clockwise to make
the string get a lower sound. You can tell it is tuned to D correctly
when you can play the top two strings at the same fret and have them
sound in harmony. Do your best, it's worth it, because D tuning makes
your guitar sound heavier, plus you only need to use one finger to play
the chords, so you can jump around and play at the same time much
easier.
Song structure:
---All the verse riffs are just the guitar doing spooky high notes
while
the bass and keyboard do the main part of it. Each verse is played
different, and there is slight improvision.

The verses of this song are boring when played without other
instruments,
but the chorus and pre-chorus riffs are kinda cool. If you need help,

| I don't really know what this song is really about, but I always think of someone manipulating others. "Raping you all with a stick" - not in a literal sense. I guess it's complex...the thoughts I've got in my head. But, that's the main idea. | |

| I've always taken it as leaving one group of people to be with another....like...being fake to fit in, or not fit in...either way it works...."tell them all she wont be back 'cause she needed a change turned away from her fears she's been falling down tell them all she's gonna be gone, gone, gone just listen to me 'cause she needed the friends she will always be, she will always be because she needed the friends she will always know me she will always know me, she needed the fringe deemed to follow the fears before she goes she will always know me " just sounds like having to be someone you're not to get the friends...and needing a change...like needing an escape... | |

| It seems that to me the song is about the raving lifestyle. Maybe it's just the whole dayglow line, but that's what I think. | |

| Very good song, sounds like he's talking about incest and pedophilia though. | |
