Lyrics
INTRO/VERSE
She's lost in coma where it's beautiful
Intoxicated from the deep sleep, deep sleep
Do you wonder what it's like
Living in a permanent imagination?
Sleeping to escape reality
But you like it like that.
PRE-CHORUS
Guilty by design
She's nothing more than fiction
She dreams in digital
CHORUS
'Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
She dreams in digital
CHORUS ender
INTRO/VERSE
And your pixel army can't save you now
My finger's on the kill switch
I remember I used to compose your dreams, control your dreams
And don't be afraid, expose yourself
Before I shut you down
You've made some changes
Since the virus caught you sleeping.
PRE-CHORUS
Guilty by design
She's nothing more than fiction
She dreams in digital
CHORUS
'Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
'Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
She dreams in digital
[SOLO] ( guitar 2 keeps playing the CHORUS )
CHORUS ender
She dreams in digital
CHORUS
She's guilty by design
'Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
She's nothing more than fiction
'Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital [Jay fades out]
Dreams in digital [synth voice]

| The song, which recently peaked at number 7 on "Billboard" magazine's Modern Rock Tracks chart, is about idolatry of cartoon characters, according to Gordon. "It's based on virtual beings that humans are getting really attached to," he said. "In Japan, they're getting really connected to these virtual stars, so to speak. They're, like, huge. It just kind of freaks me out... glorified cartoons, but it's cool." that's what jay said it was actually written about ;) but individual interpretation is always a good thing:) | |

| err... forgot to add, because she's lost control, and can't differentiate (or however you spell that) the dream reality, and the true reality | |

| i can really relate to this song, i think it's about a girl who lives in her own little reality (like me) and being snapped back into reality (my finger's on the kill switch, killing the dream) | |

| The first 2 lines mean that she is brought into this beautiful world of dreams. The second two ask if you know what it's like. The fifth line means you just want to get out of the real world. The chorus means that she's better than human, and she dreams these unreal dreams uncontrollably The next two lines mean that she can't protect herself from something, I'm assuming it's the person telling the story. Then it says that the person telling the story used to compose and control her dreams. It means that he was all she could think of. Then it means that she shouldn't be afraid to have some fun before he does whatever he's gonna do to her. The last line means that she has changed since some incedent happened, probably about the guy telling the story. Basically, It's about a girl who couldn't get this guy off her mind. Then he did something terrible, and so she waits to go to sleep to escape reality. She left, but the guy still wants her to be with him. | |

| Actually, this is wrong but it kinda sounds like a girl who is trying to escape her abusive boy friend or something. Cuz if she is in a coma it could be because he hurt her, and she is living in superficial dream world where she thinks that things are fine, and then one day she snaps out of it and realizes he is a dick, she made changes, and now he is really gonna get her or she is gonna kill herself or something, saying an army can't save her, like he is going to hurt her. Maybe itz just my punkish mind trying to be all bout bf gf stuff | |

| I think this song it's just perfect for "The Matrix" movie soundtrack. Watch the movie and you'll know why I say that. | |

| Probably I am wrong, but it seems to be about people spending all their time plugged into the virtual world of computers, specifically video/computer games, which are ficticious worlds that people sometimes get sucked into completely (can you say, EVERQUEST, *cough cough*!). Maybe it's about someone who has lost touch with reality and is glued to the screen 24 hours a day. | |
