Maybe Opticon is our new God...as said by Opticon is here to lead us. I got the meaning of Opticon is our perception(if we were in a cult) and also the leader.

While we're ona roll: "New alien spawn We reinvent the dawn And no one's style compares Those neon eyes Make mom and dad think that we've lost our minds They're just terrified of all new things " This is the aftermath of the 'fashion bomb'. Eventually trends will change so fast that no-one will be trendy anymore.

guys this song is about a message from me...its only intended for a specific group of people. If you dont have neon eyes dont even try to understand the rest it will just confuse you.

I thoroughly agree with Emmelstone. Also I think the word "Opticon" is derived from "Optic..." which is of course to do with vision and light. So Opticon is the visual image of other people and how they dress, so when suddenly that changes you're too late to keep up with the change, so the "blast from the fashion bomb" metaphor comes into play. You have a panicked reaction because you can't keep up with the trends.

I always got the idea that this song is about style and fashion and how it seems to rule our lives. "here to lead us" is just one of the many faces that style hides behind. The media, as digitalstitches said, is part of it too. Shaping people's minds, the Britney Spears image etc. Ah well, she sucks and Orgy doesn't.

Oops type, let me fix it here It is about how people draw conclusions about Orgy cause of the way they dress that they must be bisexual or gay, but infact they are NOT .
