aww, don't use the word lame. Their stuff after Naveed were nice too. But frankly,Healthy in Paranoid Times was something new to me,after all of OLPs stuff.... well,I couldn't get used to it so easily.

I agree with Silvas, and here's my expasion on taking Hope literally. If you take Hope as a person, literally, I see her initially as a young girl. She's filled with hope and innocence, not knowing climbing on top of the piano could hurt her. A man (her father, brother?) tries to ask her down. But in the second verse, he climbs up top with her, and sees thw world from her point of view. However, Hope is gorwing up, and she's slipping- she's not as hopeful and optimistic as before. The man mourns the loss of her innocence, but has to let her fall. Then, the last two lines: if even Hope cannot have hope anymore, everyone should simply accept thier darkened fates.

I know the lyrics are "My God she said" but it sounds like "My God she's sad" to me tonight. Which also kinda works. Good song about a woman going crazy ^_^

Its a wierd song for me. This is my second favourite song right now, behind Not Enough. The thing with this is I know a girl with the name Hope, and the personification of it I can relate to. It has a sort of double-meaning for me. I could just imagine her climbling atop of a piano, and I know I'd be one to try to help her when she's slipping. However, this is about losing hope, personified or not. The man says hope is crazy, but he obviously doesn't understand her. Its interesting to listen to, at least for me. It was kind of ironic, when my old favourite song, Hopeless by Train, was replaced by this one. Although it was also quickly shifted out by Not Enough.

Crazy... no one else commented? I guess their new stuff is all the rage now...hmm...lame. Anyways, this song is amazing. They sang this at the concert last night that I was at. Incredible! I don't know what it is about, especially the chorus. But, good analysis, people!
