some of the chords are power chords, some are just basic chords. all of the power chords
are
played in the verses and the basic chords are played in the chorus and interlude. I put
brackets
to seperate the chords so it shouldn't be that hard. If you have any questions or comments,
don't
hesitate to email me. Other than that, enjoy!

| Hey biggreenmonkey, I never thought of it that way. That's really interesting - the ease of replacing the machinery parts, and applying that idea to protecting someone. The song makes me think of a friend with whom I've had a very tense friendship. Time and time again I feel like I've been fixing everything that goes wrong, at his behest. Like a machine I've been watching everything break down and it's been breaking me down too... like biggreenmonkey said. Very interesting insight on an awesome song. | |

| I thought the spoken part was... Take this time to figure it out, know the wire, the fuse, the things that you doubt. The wheels, the air, the metal, the mouth, its something...something...SOMETHING... | |

| i feel its about how in the modern world it doesnt matter how bad you fuck up anymore. theres always gonna be someone or some thing that can put it all back together for you. the lyrics talk about your physical well being and docotrs and stuff like that but its about everything in life. Anything can be fixed these days and it may not be a good thing because whats the point of living if theres no consequences | |

| I'm surprised at the relative lack of commenting on this one. (Maybe I'm just biased because it's 'my' song :) However, I have a bit of a different take on it. To me, the lyrics are written from the POV of someone who is watching a loved one go down the wrong path. We'll call this person the friend. Now, the friend has absolutely no idea what to do, so they involve themselves in their loved one's bad behaviours (Eg: For the loved one was a drinker, the friend would stay up for hours until the loved on came home, or try to cover up their mistakes the loved on makes when they're drunk) Because of this, they find they need to be repaired as well. But it's scary to deal with this sort of thing, so the song is like the friend wishing that these things were as easy to repair as machinary. If only I could order a new part, and then my loved one wouldn't be so insane. However, at the same time, the friend watches as people come up with these 'machine' answers, and s/he knows they're not working, and knows that as long as these 'machine' answers keep coming, nothing will be fixed. However, the friend doesn't know how to fix anything, so they'll continually be in repair, replacing these machine parts every so often and never truly healing. | |
