| This is an amazing song which i, like everyone else, believe to be about prostitution. But where some of us disagree is that Gravity is an awesome cd. It still has great lyrical content. | |

| Yes! I stumbled upon that on KaZaA, and it's great! I recommend that everyone download it. It's just Raine on a piano and singing. The tempo is much slower, but it is so beautiful. | |

| This is about a girl that fell into prostitution, running from an abusive father. | |

| No..he says, that this is a song from one of their earlier albums and sarah slean wrote the piano music. The lyrics hav always been theirs. Hence why they have 2 versions. Both are damn great. | |

| this song reminds me of when i turned my father in for sexual abuse. it was so awful. he tred to commit suicide and my mother hated me. but now she understands. she was so hurt by so much when it happened. she was given adice but she didn't know what to believe. she knows i never really lean on her unless i am completely losy. it was the only time i ever cried for my mother. and recently we went through the past again so that we could figure it out and put it behind us. i love this song, especially in piano form. it's on my cel and frequently listened to. | |

| This song reminds me of Automatic Flowers. I think it's the same woman in both songs. I kept thinking it was about someone's mother who had left or died when they were young. Spousal abuse was involved. There are quite a few songs related to this, so I almos thought it was about Raine's mother. I have not found any evidence to support this claim. ;) | |

| LiveUrLife, you are right. I'm pretty sure I read in an OLP interview somewhere that this song was written about a girl who used to be into prostitution. Now this song is an example of when OLP wrote amazing songs. None of this Gravity piddle. And yes, the piano version is beautiful. One of the best songs I have ever heard. | |

| This is a beautiful song to me. I love the line "we're digging up the past to bury it one last time. I know theres pain inside that truth but you just have to face it." To me its about a girl who has a past thats not so pretty and because of it she's gone through alot. This song is saying as much as it hurts you're going to have to stand up, be strong and face your life as it is now and dismiss what happened in the past. | |

| this song reminds me of me....... and i think that it's like you cant ignore the past even if it was bad and you want to...you have to come to terms with it before you'll be at peace with it | |

| Regardless of what the song means, it was beautifully written and sung (the live piano version of it at their concert back in 97? was amazing). One of my personal favs. All I know is that you can feel the desperation and sadness of Julia's life, it's undeniable. ...but that's just what I think :) | |

| I love this song.....I don't really like Our Lady Peace and even though his voice isn't great.....the piano part is beautiful and shows all the emotion you don't even need the lyrics or him singing. | |

| OrangeSteamboat...what are you talking about? The lyrics to Gravity are just as good as any other OLP album. Gravity seems to have a more positive feel than their past albums. The band, just as any human being, has probably grown and changed over the years. The lyrics may sound different, but their heart is still there. The only thing that is "piddle" around here are ignorantly cynical comments like yours. OLP has the courage to say what they feel and put it out there, no matter how popular or unpopular it makes them. When was the last time YOU did something that brave? | |

| OrangeSteamboat... This song actually wasn't written by OLP... It was written by a girl in Toronto Sarah Slean. If you listen to the live version... Raine says that at the beginning of the song. | |
