| In the first part of the song i feel that hes saying how he loves his girl friend so much and that he would do anything for her and that he wishes that he had the words to explain how much he cares for her and that he just want to get to know her and become as close as possible to her. The next part i think hes saying it was so great and now you ended it and that she doesnt know how he feels and that he still loves her and he wishes he could stop loving her but he cant and its tearing him up inside...but ya i could be way off this on this but ya im a huge fan of this song and the cd and espically all their other cds...Our Lady Peace kicks ass... ~I Love You...Kelly~ | |

| I think this song is about someone who likes another person very much. They were going great, and then all of the sudden, one of them goes away, or something of the sort, where they are broke up. The singer is saying how sad he is that they are apart, and that he would sell his soul just to be back together. He also explains that she can't understand how he feels about her. My favorite lines are "I’d burn our initials in the sun if it would shine" and "I’m bleeding by myself and I’m okay..." The first line, because its so symbolic of what love may be, it just strikes me. The second line I love because, the guy is so hurt, he's bleeding. He wants it to be over, and tells himself that he is ok, but deep down, he's not, and still is holding on. I can relate to this song 100% at this time in my life, reminds me a certain A.N.H. OLP is great! | |

| Personally, I think you're all right. I don't deny that this song is about a relationship deteriorating, however, I think it's also about suicide. He knows he messed up badly, and he wants to go back in time, but in reality he can't change the past so he wants to kill himself to "solve the problem" or "make it go away". I’m out of my head I’m out of excuses so I’m staring at the bed And it’s you It’s you... I hold on, I hold on (I can’t let go) And you don’t know how I feel Hold on, I hold on (I’d sell my soul) And you don’t know how I feel He's saying, he can't find anymore excuses for himself to get him out of the trouble, so he is resorting to suicide. "So I'm staring at the bed"-Where he would die, perhaps. But then in all reality after he thinks he realizes he can't let go of his life because it's this special person who he messed things up between that's keeping him going, it's this love of his that he can't leave behind. Thus, "sell my soul" meaning, giving his life away, selling his sould to the devil by suicide. | |

| Raine Maida is one of those "new age rockers" - deep, and thoughtful with his lyrics, and they ( OLP) have a good rock sound. Not quite big yet, but not far off. Good song, and good interpretation of the lyrics | |
