| I agree with alexvickers...so many people branded this album with "sucks" but its really a great one just like all the others, def. not the their best though. I think this song is about a broken relationship, and one person wants the other back, but Its not happening. | |

| I think that that this song is about a girl who he loves but doesn't know how to tell her. I don;t think the girl he speaks of has ever been his girlfriend. In the course he says "I hold on, I hold on and I can;t let go...and you don;t know how i feel" which indicates he is holding on to the possibility that they will be together someday. a line in the song "all the games and all the faces" shows that she is playing mind games with him and leading him on. he would do anything for her to realize how much she means to him, i think it's a powerful song. so much feeling and emotion in it. it's a song i think everyone can relate to | |

| I don't agree with kingweasle1's interpretation. At the begining of the song, he's talking about how he got caught doing something, and he doesn't know what to do so he's "out of excuses so he's staring at the bed" havent you ever gotten in trouble with a girlfriend or wife and stared at the bed hoping for make-up sex? Basically, my interpretation of it is someone who got caught doing something they shouldnt have and got caught in the process and he regrets it and wishes to have the girl he loves back. He misses her... "I'd burn initials in the sky if it would shine" meaning if he could, he would do the unthinkable to try and get her back. As a show of love, sometimes a couple caves their initials into trees or something to show their love... He's saying he loves her so much he'd carve it into the sky. Next, he says "I need a fresh start, I was in heaven until this one feel apart" obviously he did something for it to fall apart and he wishes he had never done it or he wouldnt refer to the relationship as "heaven". The next verse, he says "I'm old enough to take all the blame for all of us" meaning he knows he was wrong and he just wants her to forgive him. He's "bleeding by himself" Meaning hes alone and in pain. The chorus, talks about holding on and how he can't let go. This further supports my interpretation in the sence that he cant let this girl go and he still loves her and he "can't let go" I may be wrong, that's my personal interpretation. | |

| Two lines are wrong. I’m old enough to take all the blame for all of us There's all the games and all the faces I'm old enough to take all the blame for all the mistakes All the games and all the faces Woah. Very intresting meanings, you have. Personally I think I'll try to forget all about them, because it kills the song as a whole. | |
