Artist: Our Lady Peace
Song Title: The Wonderful Future

Chances are, the tuning is half-step down (being OLP), but I don't know that,
so I just stick to regular tuning, since it works just fine for this song.

Chorus (1:15) I won't bother with the strumming pattern, it's too hard to write down
and it's fairly simple anyways. Each * represents one set of strumming
... if that makes sense...

So those are the parts of the song, they come up again throughout.... enjoy.

This song is about the main charactor in the book "Spiritural Machines" "She builds a strong alibi From the future that's here She needs to know I'm alive But I'm flesh and I tear" PS the hidden track is taken from the book and I believe add meaning to this song

i love this song, it's so calm and flowy, and i love the way he takes notice of some girl out there who's absolutely beautiful but doesn't know it.

This is just a great song. Great music, a hummable guitar part, passionate lyrics, unfortunately I have no clue what they're about but hey, I can still like the song. One of my favorite olp songs for sure.

I've always pictured her "satellite chair" as a certain chair the girl sits in to create (painting or such) and it gives her a temporary escape from reality. The ability she has found to tap into her talent is something beautiful about her, something other people envy (something we all dream about).

This is my favorite OLP song, I think. Every time I listen to it I feel like I'm either flying or falling through space and I'm never sure which. I agree with everyone else about the meaning... the mood of the song is so wistful and desperate. Maida's vocals and the great music, as always, add a lot to the song.
