"Waited"
By- Our Lady Peace
-CAPO 1-
Am Fmaj7
Hit the ground
F C G
Weighed down again
Am Fmaj7
You walked out
F C G
But I'm sure you're my friend
Am Fmaj7
It must have been good
Am Fmaj7
This can't be for good
F C G
Everyone's oh
F C G
Is everyone ok
F C G
I waited
F C G
Oh I, Oh I waited
F C G
Oh I, Oh I, Oh I must be too dumb to be proud
F C G
Cause I waited, waited here
Am Fmaj7
Woke to sounds
F C G
Prayed you were there
Am Fmaj7
Fell back down
F C G
But I'm sure you still care
Am Fmaj7
It must have been good
Am Fmaj7
This can't be for good
F C G
Everything's oh
F C G
Is everything ok
F C G
I waited
F C G
Oh I , Oh I waited
F C G
Oh I, Oh I, Oh I must be too dumb to be proud
F C G
Cause I waited, waited here
F C G
Oh I , waited, waited here
F C G
Oh I must have been bored and knocked down and I
F C G
I must have been bored...
F C G
Waited
F C G
Oh I , Oh I waited
F C G
Oh I, Oh I, Oh I must be too dumb to be proud
F C G
Cause I waited, waited here
F C G
Oh I, waited, waited here
F C G
Oh I, waited, waited here
F C G
Oh I, waited, waited here, Oh I...

| Yes! thats it right there. I used to think it was about a failed relationship but Zelliq is right... You can tell. "But I'm sure you're my friend"... "But I'm sure you still care" It's like being blind to the fact that someone isn't as close a friend as you like to think. | |

| This is my favorate song out of all the olp songs. I've felt this way before, you know, how you think you have a friend, but it's not really a friend at all. And the friend is taking advantage of you as you wait, and think, but your mind is too clouded by the fact that you have a trusting friend. But to me, it means some thing else, completely different. It's meaning to me is that I have waited too long, and then I lost the oppertunity. Actually, my bands song, Lost Opertunity, is about being left in the dust cuz I never could keep up, and just procratinated. The clock strikes two, And my mind is gone. I mope around town, trying to understand. I'm not a lucky man, and never will be. I'm hurting from head to toe, Cuz I lost my sense of direction. Lost Opertunities | |

| Whether this song is about love or friendship, it is definitely about blind faith in one person. No matter what this person does, you are the lapdog waiting in the background for them. The interpretation of who this person is, of course, is up to you to decide. | |

| this song is deffentally about friends that you think care about you and then in one big revelation you realize that they dont give two shits about you. ive had this happen to me. your friends forget about you and its so much worse than any relationship falling apart, cause your friends are supposed to be there for you through everything, no matter what. and its such a kick in the face when someone you put all your trust into just leaves you behind... and you wait... and wait. | |

| Probably in my top 5 favorite OLP songs of all time. I dunno why, but I've had a huge connection with it from the first time that I heard it, and I just recently had someone completely use me up and leave me with no warning, and this song is...wow, so perfect for the way I feel. A lot of you said most things I wanted to say. But, I'll just bore you with repetition and add in a few of my opinions. I think the theme of the song is sarcasm. When Raine says, "You walked out, I'm sure you're my friend" and "I fell back down, but I'm sure you still care", he's looking back and realizing that he was diluding himself. I just love the line "oh i must be too dumb to be proud 'cause I waited". What an awesome line that I would have never been able to put into words but can feel exactly. I'm totally over it, and this song helped. | |

| this song is about me. i am waiting right now for someone worth waiting for, and i'm "too dumb to be proud" and say that i'm so good i should get it now. no, i will wait, and it will be better in the end b/c of it. | |

| I agree that it's about thinking someones more of your friend than they actualy are... but thinking there more of a friend, and everyone already knew ("Oh I must be to dumb to be proud"), and now he's finding out things arent like he thought they were Awesome song though... | |

| This song is awesome. I think it's about how someone can put up with so much and do so many things thinking they are being appreciated for it all, when in reality they aren't. "I must be too dumb to be proud." Something to do with a person's self-respect as well. The music is so good and then Raine hits the "I must have been booooored" part. Awesome song. | |
