about black people and the stereotypes of them these days and that at least in the chorus: "And the whole, world, loves it when you're in the news And the whole, world, loves it when you sing the blues"

I thought it was about them being in the spotlight before reading ShadowLives2 's comment. Read the last verse, i never even thought about the "Wait, back to the enemy of the state" part, it's that movie with the spyware that was supposed to keep a terrorist threat at bay. Good Thinkin Shadow

I think that it shows how the rich white like to pretend to be urbane and cool by listening to rap. At least that's what the video seems to be saying. Good hip-hop none the less.
