| Ozma is now back together again...I just came back from their Reunion tour's stop in San Diego... That was simply the best news I've heard in a long while... As for the song, I think fungi2510 has got it down pretty well. | |

| I think he and a female friend (not a girlfriend) used to maybe flirt, but never date. They are both in realtionships now, but theirs was always different. "so we play our games" refers to both baseball, and flirtations. It's like she's the true love of his life, but they are not menat to be lovers, just best friends | |

| I do not think that the girl in the song was not his gf, excuse the double negative. I think that they dated and now he wants everything back. I do not think he is much past his high school years. He does not want his childhood back. That is not childhood. They have kept in contact but scarcely, bc he knows where she lives. I do not think that he wants her back, but he wants her to think of him like he thinks of her. We all just want to be loved as much as we love. They have moved on, but that first real love is always special. It is baseball for most of us boys, so that is why Ozma used it. Baseball and first loves are very intertwined. I can connect with the song well, because I had a gf my Senior Year of baseball and I remember looking into the stands everytime I stepped to the plate. Her smiling face made everything alright. We never have that after "baseball" is over. | |

| I love this song so much. It's really emotional for me, as it was playing during me and my ex girlfriend's first kiss. Which was my first kiss. I love this song song much, it's brilliant. 4:05 onwards makes me tear up. | |

| no, everyone thinks that ozma songs are weezer songs. i just had an argument with a friend of mines roommate because he insisted that 'baseball' was a weezer song. yes they did tour together, but they have their own music... | |

| Whoever said that this song is called "Weezer-Starlight" on some file-sharing systems: Yeah, it is. I have no idea why, but I'm so glad it is. I've been a weezer fan like crazy for a while, and I was searching for some more weezer rarities, and I found this song. And that got me into ozma, which is definitely one of the best bands in existence. | |

| Basically i think the lyrics on this song are about how he remembers an old flame of his. But somehow theres those people that you can never quite 'get over' and he is finally realizing that he still loves her and hes not over her yet. So hes yearning inside to see her again and be with her again. | |

| it seems like he kinda wishes he could go back to his "summer" (childish) days when love was so simple (talking about love being the dirt in his backyard). but time moves on and simple things become so complicated, like the girl he played with when he was little. haha this sounds really dumb but it reminds me of forest gump, how as forest and jenny grow up sometimes jenny forgets he exits and forest is always trying to remind her. | |
