| Congratulations. You just proved that, in the face of losing an argument of words, your only resort is violence, a last bastion for the weak-minded. Alright, listen, you shit-brained cuntfuck, go back to Sparta. I'll say what I want in real life. If you're that much of a wimp that you can't take being wrong, it's best that you "make me miss some teeth" so you can get arrested and fucked in jail like the cunt you are. If only you knew how low you are... I'd like to take your head, separate it from the rest of your body save for one strand of muscle, set a colony of fire and Amazon ants on the wound (whereupon they will fight for resources). As this is happening, I'd bite off every one of your fingers and toes, force-feed them to you, take Polaroids of the chewed mess as the ants seize upon it, staple your eyes open (with a Swingline, because even then you'd agree that your death would have to pay homage to Office Space), and cool the photographs with the flailing of your limbs as I gather your relatives to play piñata with your writhing body and salted rods. Once the ants had devoured what little flesh kept your head and torso attached, further desecration of the corpse would come from the savage jackals, famished and at the brink of starvation but with that glorious ounce of driving despair. Yes, the jackals would take care of the body. As for your head, it would be sealed in cellophane, lacquered, and sent to Maradona as his personal soccer ball (or football, depending on your country) for ceremony. Going back to the jackals, their stools after the consumption of your meat would then be incinerated in hellfire. All in all, it's a fitting end for thinking that you can still win out over reason by threatening violence. Being tough just proves you can't reason. You further that point by not being able to type like a decent person. Feud all you want. If we did meet in real life, I have friends in the hardcore scene that would beat you with pipes if I so wished because they're grunts just like you. Go join the army, cannon fodder, so you can see how far your bullshit tough guy routine takes you. | |

| I think that this works together with part ii, basically, this is his doubting, trying to convince himself to do it in a fit of depression, then part ii kicks in and its the actual action of suicide. Like the synthesizers too. | |

| This song is the shit. That's one thing you gotta love about Phil, he never candy-coated his lyrics or had a bullshit way to express himself, he said things how they were, from the heart. And yes, he was clinically dead after OD'ing on heroin on-stage. | |

| Sheesh! Everything's about dope for Pantera. Even so, this is probably one of the best songs ever written. The desperation and helplesness is thick and palpable. It's great to listen to this song during one of your lows when you just want to give in to self-pity. Lines like "Would you look at me now/Can you tell I'm a man?/With these scars on my wrist/To prove I'll try again/Try to die again" work like magic even for those who don't use cocaine. | |

| Muzzy said "It was written not long after he OD'd on heroin or something and was clinically dead." If this guy was clinically dead, was he dead dead, and wouldn't he be like unable to write songs. Man I'm confused. Personally I think it's a piece of junk song. The vocalist has very little tone, and it sounds like an old western. All the chords are Major, which I wouldn't expect but they are, and it makes the song seem too happy....All in all I think it was poorly done. Great lyrics though:D...least most of it.... | |
