	Well tommy112, I think Drag the Waters refers to searching deeper, not in the literal sense of deeper in water, but looking deeper into a person. There really is no reference in the song of murdering anybody. Also there's that part "He well knows what he'd find IF he looked a little deeper in you". Funny thing is, I used to wander why they were talking about dragging water in this song when I was younger.. :)

(Your father is rich, he's the judge, he's the man, he's the God that got your sentence reduced) and he got cleared from evry shit he made...and its also about the same dick head and a women and they abuse on drugs and she take all of is money...and he lose the girl ans some friends too.......and now that's why he drag the water some more....to get the real things in life...and he drag and drag...over and over again.

	it seems to be about a person that gets away with alot of stuff becuase everybody seems to think they are some sort of good person to be looked apon with kind eyes. however underneath this person is a lying decieving thing which would not need to be asked twice to cuase some tragedy. secretly a few people know this but against the popular opinion of this person their knowledge is drowned under the majority who see's them as angelic.

	Nail on the head pretty much there mutha_fucka (and various others) - why can't people stop trying to intepret the song in these crazy ways, and make everything a metaphor for god/drugs? Phil was never really one to cypher his lyrics, they were usually pretty direct, they got more poetic but they still have clear meaning!

	in my opinion it's about a rich boy who's parents, more particularly father, are in a position of power, he's been given what he wants all his life so now he just takes and takes regardless of consequences, which would be greatley reduced by his father's power. well that's verse 1, verse 2 is about the richboy being crippled by the woman, seeing as how the woman is our greatest weakness. He abandons all his friends and support base for the woman.
