| Scars is one of my favorite tracks from GAWM. Of course my favorite track from LHT was "Never Said It", and hardly anyone knows that song, so take that however you want. When I bought this cd the day GAWM was released (8/31 in the US) I knew this song would be their next single. It just screams "Radio track" and I was right. I've started hearing it all over the place. I just hope "Take Me" is next because that song is a good song! Also, anyone with a good ear will hear "Not Listening" playing on the Resident Evil: Apocalypse trailers. Finally, to DubC4Life, dont' sweat liking a P Roach song. If someone has a problem with you liking Papa Roach, fnck em. You should listen to what you like, not what your friends tell you to listen to. | |

| By "Scars" he is refering to the emotional scars that he was given by the relationship. He "cared too much" about this person only to be hurt. Now she is comming around trying to get help from him. He sees that she is falling out but he doesn't really want to help because of what happened. He also doesn't want to be with anyone else "Drunk and I'm feeling down and I want to be alone" but mainly doesn't want to be with the ex. He has to move on and now he knows what to watch out for. | |

| Alot of people took the lyrics of this song literally, with the cutting and scars part. but i think its more of emotional scars, everyone has scars that reminds them of their past. i think alot of people can relate to this song if you look at it with an open mind | |

| f u listened to "last resort" on i THINK there first album it talks about him cutting and this song to me means he used to be a cutter becuz of this girl and now hes trying to move on but he always sees those scars on his arm and it reminds him of the past | |

| My absolute favorite song on this album. Once again, I totally feel I'm at this exact point as this song. Here's how I relate: A change has taken place in this person and now he finds himself looking back at the past and on the brink of a bright new future. And he realizes that he's cared so much for people and that's the very reason that he's had such tragedy. "My scars remind me that the past is real" And just when he's ready to try again, he is reminded of his scars and how he has been so open hearted but (as the cliche goes) used, abused, and left out like trash. Now he's ready to do his thing, and so am I! I have spent the greater part of my 26 years living for other people, trying to fix others, and bleeding for the faith of others. And now I've learned the following: That people are needy and they'll suck your life away, that you can't help what chooses not to be helped, and that the only way you can surely help people is by getting on with your own life until you can give back to them from a distance. | |
