| this songs sounds cynical....It could be about a flawed individual whose traits and personality is seen as a weakness in the eyes of others because of the numourous counts of failure....this gives them a burning ambition to proves others wrong by using their weaknesses as a strength. Basically every person has their own dance and I guess this person found the perfect tune to it. | |

| Whenever I listen to this song I picture a revival. Perhaps they're seeking a revival? Because they're broken...and through their weakness God is strong. They decide to give God everything and doing it all for His glory. Even through persecution (When they try to take us down; When they burn our houses down) they'll continue to praise Him(This is how we'll dance). | |

| yeah..i agree with thoseguiltyeyes.. "this is how we'll dance" makes more sense in it.. like, saying, they'll keep on going no matter what..no matter how many people want to bring them down.. | |

| "i gave it all my oxygen" my absolute favorite line, it's so perfect. even though i think this cd is nothing compared to all we know is falling lyrically or musically or by any way they did a good job on their sophomore Cd i think their producers are aiming for something they aren't for. but other than that, good song | |

| this song is very beautiful and emotional. i think this song is about feeling so miserable and despair full that you just want to give up. Yet at the same time something is telling you to hold on,have faith, and keeping searching for something to hang on to.And one day you will find that spacial thing and you will be able to keep your head up and keep being strong no matter how bad things get. | This is how the chorus is in the lyric book: "This is how we'll dance when When they try to take us down This is how we'll sing oh This is how we'll stand when When they burn our houses down This is what will be oh glory" I know that the book has a couple little mistakes, but I don't think that this is one of them. The other mistakes involve forgetting an "and" or leaving out one word in a phrase--things that are easy to do when writing. I don't think that they would write "oh" and then sing something else. Anyone agree? And plus, it sounds more like "oh" in both of those spots. The meaning is probably the same as if it did say "out" and "our", but I believe she sings "oh". Again, ne1 agree? -peace- --Mari | |

| Such a well written song especially considering their ages. Most people twice their age can't write something so meaningful. It's a "stay strong, keep the faith" kind of thing. Gotta love Paramore. | |

| the lines "This is how we'll stand when When they burn our houses down This is what will be our glory" Burning a house down. Home is where the heart is...our houses are a ground for security and privacy or our dreams..the person could have had enemies who have bullied or exposed them shamefully, taking away their dignity, dreams, confidence..well u get the point by now. I hope. lol. xP | |

| I think this line: This is our debt when Is really: This is how we'll dance when And the last chorus is: This is how we dance when They have a dress with that line, so I'm assuming that's what the correct one is. Heh. | |

| I think what they are trying to say through the lyrics is, you can try will all you have to break them down, they are stronger than that. The line "I'll give it all my oxygen, so let the flames begin" is like saying, I'll give you the fuel to try and burn me, but it won't happen. | |
