| My friend told me that this song summed up her relationship with her bf. I know he doesnt abuse her, but she says she loves him because she doesn't think she can do much better. Like having the best car on the market, but u don't like it all that much but u don't wanna get rid of it cuz it the best. Shitty metaphore but. | |

| maybe since red is an anrgy colour it's about the anger she has stored up inside of her because of him. Or maybe its about her dreaming that one day she will take action since red is the colour of war. | |

| I agree with some of you. The song is about a woman in a bad relationship. She's says she will leave him but does not have the strength to do so. And if she does, she will end up going back to him, because she cannot find "A Better Man." Greatly sung by Vedder. | |
