| I love this song and believe there can be many interpretations of it. Mine is that it's about state of mind evolution, and that sometimes to understand something, it takes "going into hiding" to find one's self and the simplicity of what life is really about; a full-circle evolution of the mind. | |

| i think this is eddies reflection over his own phobia of being famous. it starts with fame freaking him out and so he shuts himself in. ("lock the front door...pull the curtains down") but then he gets carried away and kind of paranoid ("seeing visions...") then hes mellowed and realized that fame is only a "state of mind" | |
