I saw another one for this song that was pretty much right,
but had a couple of mistakes, so here's the correct one. It's regular tuning.
ATTENTION:The Gs at the end should be lined up w/ how and the Ds with today,
but i couldn't get them to, so just watch out for that. Other stuff may not
be lined up either. Sorry! This is my first tab/chord thingy.
D G EmA C/D Also, D~ represents this:

| the ultimate funeral song. someone passing on (the sun is setting, the sun wont rise another day) surrounded by loved ones (all the friends and family). theres something wistfully optimistic about the music that just makes this song beautiful | |

| The song was released on Pearl Jam's Merkinball project with Neil Young in 1995, it also included " I Got ID"..... This song is amazing..... it has a soothing almost nostalgic feel to it (Nostalgic of I dont know what).... I hate it when People say that this was a new or an unreleased song and only know about it because of the 9-11 fund raiser..... the song was written 6 years before hand, how ever it was a fitting song, and eddie mike and neil did do an amazing perfomance that night........ IT's a shame this song isnt more well known..... It could probabaly affect a lot of people.... | |

| Actually, it dawned on me, and it's pretty obvious. It's about those who go off to war and are missed by their sons and daughters, friends and family, and in this case, I believe it's a tribute to them by Ed. It is true. We all walk the long road, life is not easy by any means, and our lives sometimes feel in vain, but they are not. Nothing is trivial, because it matters to someone. | |

| Ed talked about this song at the concert in San Diego 2006. He wrote it soon after finding out that his mentor, Clayton Liggett, had passed away. The chords at the start of the song are meant to be like bells - ringing out the loss of his mentor and friend. A beautiful and fitting tribute to someone important to Ed and a lot of other people. Well worth listening to that concert just for that song and talk by Ed. | |

| Incredibly powerful song. Heard that song after breaking up with my girlfriend, cried my eyes out, and then pretty much got over it after that. It just pulls out any sadness you have. and then of course we all got choked up hearing it at the 9/11 tribute, I think it was the second to last song that night and stole the show. | |
