| heard this song live in dublin, Breathtaking. This song is about taking control of your own life and making the most of things. Talks about past insecurities and putting them behind u and moving on. Life comes from within your heart and desire! says it all. | |

| First of all, whenever I listen this song, I picture myself into a car, driving to nowhere, wind on my hair, a lonely and beautiful road, high speed...don't know why, I always feel like this when I play this song. Maybe my subconscious understands this song like and inside voyage, a voyage towards our soul. | |

| This song reminds me of a situation I was recently involved with. After a long term relationship, sometimes the person on the receiving end of a breakup tends to let themselves go numb for a short period of time. This reminds of that time period when you are struggling to "feel" again. It basically reminds me of a person taking back control in their life and deciding that they will live, love, laugh and "pursue the greater way for all human light." | |

| The first time I heard this song, I was completely blown away by it's melodic form that transcended me from a feeling of darkness into a feeling of daylight. A mood that pulled me into the mind of a tortured soul, only to reveal a revelation of a new human being. Inside Job is about a man's constant battle for the love for himself and the love for a high. The lyrics are simply powerful. One of the best songs Pearl Jam has ever produced since their first album, Ten. | |

| At first I didn't realise what beautiful song Inside Job is. McCready did a FANTASTIC job. I think it talks about how at a certain point you need to look inside yourself and figure out what you want and how you want to live your life. And you start an inside job, trying to fix what you think is not right. After a bad or dark moment in your life, you want to stand up and show the world that you can make it ("on my knees to rise and fx my broken soul, again."). A great way to close the album ;) | |

| Musically, in both sound and structure, it reminds me of Pink Floyd. It's a quite amazing number. 9L | |

| So glad to see Mike McCready writing so much stuff on the new album. As NO CODE said, this song is all Mike, and what a way to end a spectacular record. I think the major aspect of this album is being so praised by press and fans has to be Mike's participation on it, considering he did not do much in the past two records. | |

| It's basically saying that in order to change the world outside, you have to change on the inside first. I've always thought that one of the weaknesses of Pearl Jam albums was the closing track. Inside Job addresses that weakness; it's the first time they've finished an album with a really climactic song. | |

| This si the first song that Mike wrote from top to bottom,... Everything is his work, the musical compositions and the lyrics,... all Mike McCready,... Good God this song is fucking amazing,... What a way to end an amazing album, it's so great o find Pearl Jam "relevant" to the mainstream again,.... Perhaps this will get people into their later more experimental stuff,... but this song is basically just about being yourself and accepting who you are regardless of what choices or circumstances surround your life, that there is no excuse not to live it,... McCready is a fantastic songwriter,...who's just pretty much let us in as to how much of a "Secret Weapon" he really is,.. | |

| I'm only just into the new album, but much like homecoming hit me (from american idiot) this song sounds absolutely incredible, one of their best pieces thus far in a career that now has new life. As for the rest of album, it can only get better with more listens-- always a good sign of a epic | |

| not only did McCready write a "Srumptulecent" song (snl skit about inside the actors studio) but as did Stone Gossard with "Paraschutes" anyways...i agree with no code that its about being yourself and acting your age and not your shoe size and self acceptance. | |
