This song is about evolution... "I used to be crustacean In an underwater nation And I surf in celebration Of a billion adaptations" Eddie's talking about how humans have evolved from ocean life after "a billion adaptations" Oh, and it's also talking about Eddie's love for surfing and the ocean.

This song I think is the most under rated on the new album. It's just amazing to hear Eddie sing about his love for surf in this hard rocker!!

I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me now. Great song. The lyrics are about Eddie's love for the sea and surfing... not exactly the deepest of PJ's lyrics, but the song isn't supposed to be deep, I guess.

theres nothing silly about it. it is a great song, all things need some comic relief, if you will. the guitar solo by mccready kicks ass, maybe it is stone on lead on this one I dunno but it kicks ass.

My least favorite song on the new album, followed by "Gone". This isn't a bad song (Vedder and Ament wrote, IIRC), but it's filler. I don't feel anything special when they play it live. It's just silly for an album that's got some serious issues on it.

basically professing Eddie's love for the ocean. He's said it himself that we evolved from the ocean - the ocean is in our genetic history (i.e "I feel the need Planted in me Millions of years ago") and he wants to go back to it and experience it.

Nice song, it looks like it's about surfing... Anyone else noticed it sounds similair to Soundgarden's My Wave.

When Eddie Vedder is "between" songs, he goes to a seculded beach where he owns a house. He spends his time surfing to get away from everything else, it's just him and the ocean.. Now I don't know if this is even Eddie's song but it seems to me that it's about his appreciation for the ocean and the waves he rolls in his "free" time, and how it inspires him to write.

Definetely not a letdown in the album...but not the best either. Great Song...knowing that Eddie probably loves it since it's about his love for surf

This is one of my favorites of the new album. The sheer brutality is amazing. I don't think it sounds too much like SG's song. This sounds much faster and goes straight for the gut. Though I do like both songs.
