| I'd never thought about the Indian meaning before, but it does make sense...there's a picture of an Indian on one of the pages in the Vitalogy book, and I think it's the Immortality one. There's also a poem on that page, or the opposite one, that makes me think that the song is against suicide 'Wish you'd stayed for the sunset, if not for me' | |

| I'm not a Nirvana fan (I don't like them at all), but I've been told that shortly before Cobain's death heroin was destroying his ability to play guitar and sing. I'm wondering if that's what the last line of the song is about. If he hadn't killed himself, he could have progressively got worse and be placed in the same category as Axl Rose (former legend who 'lost it'). By killing himself, Kurt ensured he would be remembered as a great musician. | |

| yeah this is def. one of Eddie's songs about how the rockstar life isnt all its made out to be and sometimes when you want to break away the media and fans want more and more out of you until your only option to get away from it all is suicide... like cobain | |

| as in the last line 'some die just to live' this song is about that form of immortality, suicide | |
