| Yeah I reckon it's them taking the mick of Goths or Emos or whatever... It's pretty funny :D Erm.. Btw, the lyrics.. -something- is not something, lol.. I think he says Qu'est-ce c'est.. Which means What Is It, I think... It's French, btw.. Meh, who knows.. ..But the song pretty much is about Goths and Emos.. :p --Wallnutteh | |

| i almost think this is sort of about goth/emo? kids, maybe a bit sarcastic. like so hard to be yourself when youre 4+10, meaning 14, maybe theyre being sarcastic about the fact that life is hard when youre 14 because it really isnt? anyway i think its a spoof at goths/emos? who think they have the worst life ever. | |

| Okay, so I'm a fan of Billy Talent... AKA Pezz, and I argue that they aren't emo... but they dress emo. They aren't emo in personality, from what I've seen, I've never personally met the boys (Ben, Ian, Jon, Aaron) and, well... they all wear black usually... and wear tight jeans... | |

| I think its possible that theyre not making fun of "emo" kids as much as they are kdis in general. They do ridiculous things to fit in with what they think is cool, or just for stupid reasons, [I spent my last ten bucks today on black hair dye, You know dye rhymes with die] Buying dye because it rymes with die, and it fits in with the trend the kid in the song is trying to mimic. Also, the kids are just trying to stand out. 14 is the age when you've just become a teen, so your 'discovering yourself.' choosing what kind of person you might like being [For the very first time I feel kind of special] The kid likes the way he feels when he dyes his hair, paints his face white, ect. | |

| I don't really think it'd be a mockery of emo's, considering being an "emo" wasn't really much of a trend as it is now. Possibly out of goths, but it's not always a particular clique who feels like this, many kids at 14 start to think the world's against them. Maybe it's just a spoof of adolsecents in general? | |

| I'm actually kind of happy they put their money to good use like finding cures for MS rather than buying fancy clothing like the urban hipsters they sing about... | |

| well, they dress like your standard run-of-the-muck punk band, a little on the emo-ish side. but this song is definitely not emo. it's sarcastic, taking a whole lot of potshots at goths and emo, reminds of that one South Park episode. and i agree with Afright that on a larger scale this song makes fun of those kids that do rediculous things to fit in. | |
