	Phish isn't the only good jam band left. I suggest checking out a live String Cheese Incident show. Widespread Panic is pretty good live, too.

	in stating his opinion, he was attempting to stop others from stating their views: "I don't ever want to see you writing that this is a good song to sing along with." that is the problem i have with him. civility goes a long way. i don't like rap... but i don't hate everyone who does.

	I think Phish is awesome! I only started listening to them a while back, but ever since then, I've been listening to them almost all of the time. I think that newfoundfinch sounds like an ignorant person to me. I have to agree with bidins711...people like that only try to bring others down. For the record, though...you could never really have been born too late to be a hippie. And, hippies are in fact still around. The way a person dresses, or the way a person wears their hair doesn't define a hippie. Being a hippie is a way of thinking, and a way of life...believing in peace, love, and freedom of self-expression. And, scheisse is right, not every phan is a hippie, and not every hippie is a phan.

	phish does not have concerts anymore. they are on "hiatus." and i would put phish on before grateful dead, though both rock. i prefer phish's sound (and yes, they are unique).

	Listen, I live in Burlington, VT for 9 months out of the year (I attend UVM). Voicing your opinion is one thing and an absolute must. But denying others their voice is what causes problems in society -- one being pop music. Peace, love, happiness and most of all CHEERS.

	First of all what the hell does this guy mean that you have to be a hippie to listen to phish. Hippies were all about peace and love and all that shit. They wear bellbottoms and protest against society. Is it just me, or has it been 35 years since hippies have been around. Second, if you had any musical appreciation at all (newfoundfinch) then you would definately not be talking shit about Phish. They are one of the most tallented bands around today, and you are just pissed off because bull shit bands like Blink 182 and Aerosmith are all sellouts that have no tallent what so ever. It's morons like you that have driven music straight to the bottom. Its all about the money and popularity now. Phish were true musicians that started for the music and for the fans. And if you cant appreciate that, then you have serious problems.
