| ok... i think this was probably the first phish song i ever heard... regardless... i don't know much about it but i think i know what this line means... "You won't find moments in a box And someone else will set your clocks"... to me this clearly means that you can't get fake expierences (drugs), you have to get out and live your life cause (as in physically out there, nature, family and friends)... the box to me is something technological as in a computer or T.V. the experiences there aren't "real"... as for someone setting your clocks, i believe this to has a meaning that if you let others dictate your life to you, your not living it... bleh | |

| The expression "Wading in the Velvet Sea" is rather clearly a metaphor for sex. Besides that, I think it has to do with a lot of the emotions that come along with sex, and maybe trying to express those to one another, and not being able to explain. | |

| I like to think Trey is talking to the crowd as he so often does with his music. In my world, this song is about Trey looking out at the crowd with the smoke and the lights. He is wading in a velvet sea when on stage and he is putting all his thoughts out and "mailing" them to us in his own way... with music. | |

| i think that it means that someone's taking someone else's advice. "took a moment from my day and wrapped it up in things you say." but the advice might not be too good. "the packaging begins to break." but thats just a rough gestimate on the meaning. | |
