SONG: Prince Caspian
ARTIST: Phish
ALBUM: Billy Breathes
TABBED BY: Tedrick
I was looking at the only tab for this song on UG and determined it was wrong so I
decided to tab it for myself and share it with you guys. Lucky you! ;) Anyway I love
Phish (I live in Vermont where they started) so here’s my interpretation of Prince
Caspian.
Standard Tuning and Some Distortion
This song starts off with a long intro that I wont bother tabbing out, but then some
distorted guitar comes in at about 1:34 (which is the part that I tabbed out) Note that
I use the chords G9 and C9 but you could also use G and C9, in my opinion it doesn’t
make a huge difference and G9 and C9 are easier to play

With nothing to return to but the demons in their caves
If you listen closely to the “And the children in the fields all sowing seed and
chaffing wheat” part you will hear a guitar part that’s a bunch of single notes
being played fast. It’s really hard to tell what Tre is playing but it’s probably
a few notes in the G major scale. I’ll take a wild stab at it, its something like.

(4.54) [OUTRO]
Well that’s it, I’m almost positive the chords are right but RIFF 3 and the OUTRO are a
little shaky, anyway, I might tab out the actual intro (0.00-1.34) so look for it. Have
fun!

| Phish's music is absolutly amazing. Acid aside, are any of you guys musicians? Some of the most emotional and spiritual moments I've had with the band come from playinging their music. Whether its as complicated as YEM or Divided Sky, or as simple as this (its just G-C with a Dsus2 thrown in occasionally) you can really feel it deep in your soul...to float upon a wave.... | |
