this song means a lot to me. my dad is a loser father(alcoholic, druggy guy, and the king of excuses) blames everyone or thign for all his problems. i cant stand him, and i am not going to let him "bring me down" or keep me from achieving what i need too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is probably my favorite Pillar song. It seriously rocks. But as for its meaning... Of course it's talking about someone who used to blame everyone else for his own mistakes and could never take responsibility for his own actions and the consequences they brought. However, this person has changed and I'd say, because Pillar is a Christian band, that this person found God and realized it's no one else's fault but his own that what has happened thus far has happened and now he's trying to tell what he's learned to everyone else, or atleast the ones trying to bring others down. Also, he could be talking about Satan being the one trying to bring others down and now he's telling the devil himself that "You can't bring me down," and maybe he's telling others to quit blaming other people and stand up and show Satan that he can't touch anyone that's a Christian (because it's true, so long as we don't let him). P.S. "What goes around always comes back around." Yea it is true that this is a Hindu and Buddhist belief and it is called karma but it is also a Christian belief as well. It states in the Bible (not in these exact words) that the wicked shall have wickedness cast upon them someday and that the righteous will be rewarded with crowns.

"Whats goes around always comes back around" This is a Hindu and Buddhist belief. (Karma) I like this song especially the instruments.I love this entire part of the song because the words are really well done. =) "Why can't we feel what it takes for us to be real Why can't we see what it takes for us to believe Why do we say all of these things that bring us down"
