i think there is meaning to the lyrics, but im guessing it was acid inspired, i think that the main idea of piper of the gates of dawn wasnt spectacular lyrics as much as apropriate to the vibe. i think they were sucessful. smoke pineapples for good health>

this is one of the coolest songs ever. Reminds me of the time i was so smashed i was laying on the grass at a party with this song playing in the background, could only just hear it! ah those were the days..............

as in so many acid-period Floyd songs the titles and lyrics have either oblique, or else little to no meanings and are there simply to add texture
